Wednesday's Ways To...Masking Magic

Supplies all Stampin' Up!: Tart & Tangy Stamp Set; So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Real Red Cardstock, Stampin' Write Markers Real Red, So Saffron, Old Olive, Early Espresso; Tasteful Trim & Scallop Squares Duo Big Shot Dies; Play Date Series Designer Series Paper; 1/4 Taffeta Real Red Ribbon.

 

 

Stamp image you want in front first.  In this sample it is the Real Red Apple first.  Stamp on  Post It note and cut out.

 

 

 

 

 Place "mask" cut out image on top of stamped image.

 

 

 

 

Stamp other images (in this case a So Saffron and Old Olive apple) over the sides of the Real Red apple.

Stampin' Up! Nature Walk Butterfly

Counting the days until Spring, however just a day on the calendar does not mean Spring has come to Minnesota.  While family and friends send pictures of tulips peaking through the ground it will be months before that occurs here.  So for now I can only stamp and dream about it and Nature Walk is the perfect stamps set to warm me up.

Wednesday's Ways To... markers and stamping off

Use a Stampin' Write marker to apply color to the stamp, ink each area with the color you desire.

Stamp the image.

Re-stamp the image two more times, without re-inking it.

Tips:

This technique is a great way to get several shades of color from a single stamp.
