I love to participate, when I can, in some stamping online stamping challenges.  One of my favorite is Techno Stamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 165 and this layout was inspired by this challenge.

Stampin' Up! Nature Walk Butterfly

This week I have been dreaming of Spring and maybe if you have been following each day you might be saying enough already.  Nature Walk is an amazing stamp set and it makes creating so easy and one feels so successful when the card is complete.  Here is the ruffled seam binding that I showed last week on Wednesday's Way To... if you miss how to ruffle the ribbon you can check it out here for details.

Stampin' Up! Nature Walk

Counting the days until Spring, however just a day on the calendar does not mean Spring has come to Minnesota.  While family and friends send pictures of tulips peaking through the ground it will be months before that occurs here.  So for now I can only stamp and dream about it and Nature Walk is the perfect stamps set to warm me up.

Wednesday's Ways To... markers and stamping off

All Supplies Stampin' Up: Nature Walk Stamp Set; Stampin' Write Markers Cherry Cobbler & Always Artichoke; Paper Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper, Crumb Cake and Naturals Ivory; Crumb Cake Seam Binding and Big Designer Series Button Springtime Vintage.

Use a Stampin' Write marker to apply color to the stamp, ink each area with the color you desire.

Stamp the image.

Re-stamp the image two more times, without re-inking it.

This technique is a great way to get several shades of color from a single stamp.
